Yes, it's a real name and yes school was an interesting time. But don't worry you'll get used to it.
I am a London based digital designer and animator who for the last 15 years has been making things look good and move for mobile devices, online and television.
I started my career producing character animation for children's TV series for BBC, ITV, S4C and Disney initially as a traditional animator using pencil and paper before going digital with Flash and CelAction.
After a few years I became interested in new media and how design and animation could be used in more interactive way. I completed a Masters in Interactive Media that gave me the opportunity to gain skills in user centered design, user experience and interface design as well as how to wire-frame, prototype, user test and project manage for web and mobile products.
After the Masters notable projects included developing an app to support the John Lewis 'Bear and Hare' Christmas campaign, directing a series of short films for the British Heart Foundation and working on the new animated series of 'Mr Bean'.
Currently I work as a senior digital designer at Scary Beasties developing Augmented Reality products and mobile games for clients such as the BBC, Disney, Sky and Nickelodeon. We also won a couple of BAFTAs..
I also love travelling, diving and being sucked in by whatever ridiculous new food craze grips the city. Jarvis Cocker once described a project I was involved with as 'crap'.
You can't win them all.
